Richland - Raymond D. Clark, 76, of RD #3, retired farmer, died at 2:57 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where he had been a patient for several weeks. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
The funeral was at the family's convenience. Arrangements were with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
Surviving are his wife, Norma W.; two sons, Roger, Orwell, and Converse, Elizabethtown; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Alice) King, Williamstown, Mrs. John (Pauline)Tighe, Webster, and Mrs. Dean (Joyce) Martin, Orwell; 10 grandchildren; a brother Delos, Camden, and six sisters, Mrs. Anna Cummins, Liverpool, Mrs. Arnold (Alma) Genther, Ava, Mrs. Mabel Genter, Rome, Mrs. Jack (Daisy) Servatius, Redfield, Mrs. Esther Snyder, Camden, and Mrs. Stanley (Loretta) Hilliker, Pulaski.
A brother, Dexter, and sister, Dorothy, died before him.
He was born July 24, 1912, in Redfield, a son of Willis and Matilda Lagoe Clark, and attended local schools. After leaving school, he worked on his father's homestead farm in Redfield until his marriage.
He married Norma Woolson on July 18, 1941, at the Redfield United Methodist Church. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Clark purchased a farm in Orwell which they owned and operated until his retirement in 1975.
Later he worked as a maintenance man for the Oswego Savings Bank in Pulaski.
Mr. Clark was a former grand master of the Odd Fellows in Orwell.
