BURRTON -- Wayne Lee Kimball, 69, died Tuesday (May 19, 1998) at Las Vegas Medical Center in Las Vegas.

He was born May 29, 1928, in Bettendorf, Iowa to Ewert D. and Evelyn M. (Grant) Kimball. He married Bette Donahue on Dec. 28, 1965, at Juarez, Mexico. She survives of Burrton.

He grew up in Iowa and attended the Bettendorf area schools. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He moved to Newton where he lived for 11 years before moving to Burrton in 1978. He was a retired truck driver, former employee of Hehr Glass in Newton and DMH in Hutchinson. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Newton.

Other survivors include: four sons, Michael Kimball, Steven Kimball and Wayne Kimball II, all of Burrton and Michael Anderson of Fairfax, Va.; six daughters, Kathleen Unruh, Tammy Unruh and Robin Redinger, all of Burrton, Candace Ensenat of Davenport, Iowa, Connie Anderson of Hutchinson and Gale Hickling of Midlothian, Va.; two brothers, Dean Kimball of Renick, Mo., and Roger Kimball of North Hollywood, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mimi Spady.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Osenbaugh Funeral Home Chapel in Hutchinson with Father O'shea officiating. Burial will be in the Burrton Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials have been established with the American Heart Association in care of Osenbaugh Funeral Home, 528 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
