She was born March 29, 1982, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Ronald L. and Sharon C. Fleming Carr. She married Derek Brais on Dec. 21, 2007 in Bloomington, Illinois.
Candice was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School.
Surviving are her husband, Derek Brais, Bourbonnais; two daughters, Kaylee Brackney and Addy Brais; mother, Sharon Carr, Pontiac; one sister, Holly Rogers, Pontiac; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jane and Kirk Brais, Bourbonnais; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Ron and Kyra Carr, Franklin, Tennessee and Christine and David Sosnowski, Manteno; brother-in-law, Jason and Brittany Pfeffer, Nashville, Tennessee and lifelong friend, Silvia Vega, Pekin.
Candice was preceded in death by her father.
