Services were Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant Funeral Home with Revs. Charles Gresham and R. D. Caldwell officiating. Burial was in the Kelso Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Jarrett and Bell Smith Bennett. He was a member of the Stewart's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene Richardson Bennett; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Nix of Kelso; three step-daughters, Mrs. Hilda Richardson and Mrs. Glennis Sanders, both of
Fayetteville, and Mrs. Ray Honea of Taft; a step-son, J. B. Richardson of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Jean of Fayetteville, Mrs. Ella Pitcock of Kelso; two brothers, Brad Bennett of Lawrenceburg and John Bennett of Flintville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
