Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2000, at a Mass in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Brandon "Bubba" Scott Babineaux, 14 who died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2000, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. John DeLeeuw will officiate at the services.

A native of Lafayette, Brandon was a resident of Vatican all of his life. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro.

Brandon is survived by his parents, Curley Joseph Babineaux and the former Sandra "Sue-Sue" Breaux of Vatican; three brothers, Billy Babineaux and his wife Lupe, of Scott, David Babineaux and his fiancee, Kindra Duhon, of Sunset and his twin brother Bradley Babineaux of Vatican; his paternal grandfather, Sosthene Babineaux of Cankton, his maternal grandmother, Leola "LaLa" Breaux of Scott; one niece, Lindsey Babineaux; and two nephews, Trent Babineaux and Daylan Babineaux.

He was perceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lorena Prejean Babineaux, and his maternal grandfather, Chester Breaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. today until time of the services.

Pallbearers will be Billy Babineaux, David Babineaux, Bradley Babineaux, Chip Benoit; Michael Babineaux, Brett Babineaux, Leighton Babineaux and Cris Babineaux.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Brandon's "Buddy", Dr. Dough Gonzales and also Dr. Douglas Abadco, the nurses and staff at Lafayette General Medical Center and everyone else who touched his heart.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Avenue, Carencro, is in charge of arrangements.
