Mrs. Regina Poppell Sanders, age 72 passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 while under the care of her loving family and Hospice Savannah. Mrs. Sanders was born in Jesup on September 6, 1945 to the late Leroy and Gladys Harper Poppell. She was a former resident of Savannah and retired as a property manager for Lee West and Walsh Property Management Service. Mrs. Sanders was a long-time member of South Newington Baptist Church and enjoyed decorating and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her son, James M. Sanders, II. and sister, Judy P. Davis
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, James M. “Mike” Sanders, I of Black Creek; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Reggie Lee and Heather Sanders of Jacksonville and Anthony Sanders of Black Creek; five grandchildren, James L. Sanders, Kayla Sanders, Victoria Sanders, Brittney and Danny Strickland, and Alex Balok and two great grandchildren, J.T. Strickland and Oliver Strickland.

Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 12:30 Friday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating, assisted by Rev. Darnell Barner.
Interment will follow in the mausoleum at Hillcrest West Cemetery.
