Mrs. Ruthie Wilson, 85, of Adrian passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Scott Health & Rehabilitation following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born June 13, 1933 in Harriman, TN to the late Tom Gilmore and Mary Almeda Kries Gilmore. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lee Gilmore and George Gilmore; sisters, Dora May and Lela Scott. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Anchor of Hope Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Wilson of Adrian; sons, Robert (Kay) Wilson of Locus Grove and Elmer Wilson of Augusta; sister, Lillie Bowen of Van Buren, AR; special niece, JoAnn Smith of LaFollette, TN; 4 grandchildren, church family, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be at Anchor of Hope Church of God 7 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 with Reverend Milton Thomas and Dr. Hal Wilson officiating.

Entonement will be in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anchor of Hope Church of God.

Pallbearers are Logan Wilson, John Wayne Wilson, Trent Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Walley Salter and Von Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Wilson, Garland Donaldson, Jose Contreras, Dorell Stephens, Jerry Walden, Johnny Wilson, Jerry Carter and Wayne Hooks.
