Michelle Oliver, age 60 of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away December 18, 2015, at the Norman Regional Hospital. Born December 29, 1954, she was the youngest of 2 children born to Howard Lee Harris and Charlene (Richardson) Harris.

Michelle spent her early childhood in Frink, Oklahoma, and later McAlester, Oklahoma, where she attended school, graduating in 1973. Michelle then attended East Central University and also Oklahoma State University for a time.

On October 5, 1979, she married her best friend and true love, Rodney Hershell Oliver in Blanchard, Oklahoma. They first made their home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and later Lawton, Oklahoma, before settling in Norman in 1987, where together they raised a daughter, Leslie.

Michelle worked for many years for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She worked in many capacities and various roles for the company, retiring in collections.

When not working, Michelle enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her family at her home. She loved the ocean, and never missed an opportunity to curl up with a good book. She cherished her family and was most excited when she became a grandmother to Kailey, Jonathan, Luke and Isaac. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Michelle was always supportive of her family and Rodney. She was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: Her mother, Charlene Harris.

Michelle leaves behind: Her husband, Rodney Oliver, of the home; Her daughter, Leslie Kelly and husband Jonathan and their children, Kailey, Jonathan, Luke and Isaac, all of Norman; Her Father, Howard Harris, McAlester, OK Her brother, Mike Harris and wife Deborah of McAlester; 3 nieces, Nicole Murdough and husband Matt of McAlester, Brandi Oliver of Okla. City and Jamie Denton of Pittsburgh, PA; Brother-in-law, Steve Oliver of Oklahoma City and A host of other family and friends.
