Patsy Ray Rogers
June 9, 2019:

Patsy Ray Rogers, age 81, of Mokane, Missouri, passes away Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Patsy was born April 17, 1938 in Fulton, Missouri, the daughter of Richard (Ray) Taylor and Orlue (Smart) Taylor. She was the oldest of their five children.

In 1955, she was united in marriage to Buddy Joe Rogers and together they had eight children: including, Desra, Gwen, Kenny, Bryan.

Patsy attended Mokane High School. Patsy worked for both the Steedman and Callaway Bank for many years, at the Steedman and Mokane Facilities before retirement.

Patsy was a member of the Mokane Christian Church, past member of the Blue Creek Mountaineer Gun Club and past Project Leader of the Mokane Merry Makers 4-H Club. Patsy was an excellent seamstress and cook. She enjoyed reading, historical facts, watching old TV Westerns and spending time with her grandchildren.

Patsy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of sixty-four years, Bud Rogers of Mokane, Missouri; sons, Kenny Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Ryan Rogers (Michelle) and Mark Rogers (Cynthia); daughters, Desra Hockemeyer (Rick), Gwen Payne (Del) and Erin Howard (Tom), all of Callaway County, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Taylor and Donnie Taylor (Gloria); several brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous other relatives and friends.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Rogers; brothers, Bob Taylor and Andy Taylor ; infant grandson, Robert Dean Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Eric Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mokane Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana.
