I-10: ‘Oscar Gage, a retired Viewpoint farmer and carpenter, who lived at 305 NW 13th St. in Grand Prairie died Friday of illness in Methodist Hospital at Dallas. He was born in VanBuren, Ark., April 10, 1901, son of Charlie J. and Sallie (Meeks) Gage. His funeral in Paris will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Gene Roden and Sons funeral home where friends will be received this evening between 7 and 8:30 o’clock. Interment is arranged in Meadowbrook cemetery. Besides his wife, the former Nellie King, Mr. Gage leaves four children: Doyle Ray Gage, Cartersville, Ga.; Larry J. Gage, Houston, and Gary Gage and Mrs. Shirley Madison, Grand Prairie; also five grandchildren, and four brothers and sisters: Jewell and Bert Gage; Mrs. Ethel Love and Mrs. Myrtle Jones, all of Paris.’
