EAST, James Douglas sr., "Jimmy", a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away at his home on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 73. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine View Memorial Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. East was preceded in death by his parents, Belmont and Lucille East and four sisters, Alice Tate, Pattie Brown, Barbara Ann East and Kathy Lou East. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy East; children, Ricky (Alice) East, Barbara Kreauter, John East, Terry East, Jimmy (Tiffany) East, Tom (Adrian) East, Paul (Kim) East and Mary Lou East; one brother, Billy East; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Patrick East, Jr, Taylor East, Brady East, Eric Kreauter, Blake Wright, David Wright, Gannon Black and Michael Kreauter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home.
