Webb City, Mo. Seth Caleb Martin, age 7, son of Keith D. and the late Ann L. Martin, of Webb City, Mo. died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, June 17, 2007 about 2:30 a.m. from a blood clot in his lungs.

Seth was born December 20, 1999 in Joplin, Mo. and had lived in the Joplin, Webb City area all his life. He attended College Heights Christian Church. Though he could not speak in our language because of CP, he taught us the important lessons of life through his disability, without saying a word. His disability allowed us to see confirmation of what Jesus lived and His sacrificial love through meeting the needs of others by his power and Holy Spirit. This is much more important and much more rewarding than living for ourselves or any pleasure in this world.

Seth taught that true love includes taking care of others because of what Jesus has done for us. He will be greatly missed and our sorrow hurts deeply, but greater is our rejoicing that Seth in now experiencing the greatest hope fulfilled by being in the arms of his glorious Savior and Lord Jesus and his dearest loving devoted Mommy.

Additional survivors include one sister, Hannah Martin, and one brother, Zachary Martin, both of the home, his maternal grandparents, Dr. Jack and Carol Capron, Webb City, Mo., his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Joy Martin, Joplin, Mo., his maternal great grandmother, Helen Price, Galena, Kansas, several aunts and uncles, and Seth's very special God-sent caregivers, Amber and Angela Covington, Joplin, Mo.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at College Heights Christian Church with Jay St. Clair, Minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Martin, Chase Capron, Tadd Capron, Caleb Wheat, and Isaac Wheat.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the College Heights Christian Church Special Needs Ministry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
