Rebekah Bennett, age 54, of Loudon, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019. She was an artist and loved to paint. She was an employee at Wilburn’s for 13 years and was also a huge UT Football fan. Rebekah was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bennett; parents, Bobby Ray “Joe” and Martha Gryder; brother, James Gryder; and aunt, Martha Jane “Nanny” Gryder. She is survived by her daughters, Shiann Bennett and partner, Matthew Spell and Shawnee Shaver; by longtime partner, Jeff Shaver; granddaughter, Taylor Spell; sisters, Petula (John) Caylor, Evie Bishop and Melissa Gryder; brother, Quentin Gryder; aunt, Sarah Guider; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Loudon Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 10, at Simpson Cemetery. Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations is honored to serve the Bennett family.
