GURNEE - Judith Rose Henderson, 76, passed away January 14, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Clifford C. and Elsie R. (Frohn) Nielsen and her late husband Jeffrey L. Henderson.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Lake County. She attended Waukegan High School and North Central College in Naperville. She was active in Lake County real estate for 46 years. She enjoyed her fellow realtors as much as she enjoyed her career. She formed strong and treasured friendships within the real estate community.

Judy is survived by her two loving daughters, Jill (Dan) Kuksa of Hawthorn Woods and Kris (John) Ambrose of Gurnee; her granddaughters, Jayne and Geena Ambrose of Gurnee; her sister-in-law and dearest friend, Jule E. (Douglas) Groat of Antioch.

A celebration of life open house will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 3pm - 7pm at Hawthorn Woods Country Club, 1 Tournament Drive N, Hawthorn Woods, IL. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to JourneyCare Hospice Center of Barrington for their support in her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to JourneyCare Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
