She was born on March 11, 1931, in Salem, OH, the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Hendricks) Shepard.
Marlene enjoyed going to flea markets and finding bargains. She also enjoyed crocheting. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Marlene also enjoyed traveling with bus tour groups.
She is survived by her children, Arla J. Martin of Salem, OH and Leora J. Stevens of Whitehall, AR, her step-children, Steve E. Davis of Salem, Scott (Kelly) Davis of Augusta, GA and Nan (Clark) McCue of FL, her sister, Donna Jean Heaverly of Salem, many grandchildren and step-grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , Delbert "Del" E. Davis, whom she married on February 13, 1976 and who died on February 16, 2018, two sons, Claude L Brown Jr., Steven L. Brown, and her sister, Carol Risbeck.
A private family burial will be held held in Grandview Cemetery, there will be no calling hours.
