Brandon Harley Abel-Cook, age 22, of 109 Willow Drive, Moyock, NC, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 due to a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Norfolk, VA, the son of Anita Hale Abel-Cook of the residence, and the late James Edgar Cook, III. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Moyock, NC. Brandon loved going on cross country truck driving trips with his father and grandfather, where they had many very special times. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, grandson, and cousin. Brandon showed enormous support for his special needs brother, and his single parent mother. Besides his mother, Brandon is survived by two brothers, Erik Abel and wife Tammy of South Chicago, IL, and Corey Abel-Cook of Moyock, NC; his maternal grandparents, James and Marilyn Hale of San Antonio, TX; three aunts, Debbie Huntley and husband Ray of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Grimsey and husband Richard and Jamie Hollis and husband Don all of San Antonio, TX; two uncles, Michael Hale of San Antonio, TX, and Ernie Carner and wife Tammy of Rockford, IL; and two nieces, a nephew, and twelve cousins. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 23, 2007 at 11:00 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Moyock, NC, with the Rev. James Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
