Doris Harvey, 90, of Anderson, IN., and most recently of Kendallville, IN., passed away at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville on June 7, 2019. Doris was born February 27, 1929 in Elwood, IN., to Chester and Carrie Thomas. She graduated from Frankton High School in 1947 and married Mac E. Harvey of Aroma, IN., on March 13, 1948. Mac preceded her in death on August 28, 1986.
Doris was a bookkeeper the majority of her life having worked for John W. Moore Auto Sales, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and most recently for the Elwood Country Club.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lora and Richard Bubb, of Kendallville, several nieces and nephews, cherished friends and neighbors Marna Groves of Anderson and Marjorie Quear of Frankton, and lifelong family friends Alice Myerly of Winter Park, Colorado and Janet and Frank Burrows of Anderson.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law Mildred and Kenneth Harvey, brother Robert Thomas, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Betty Jo Thomas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Lavon Harvey, brother-in-law Kenny Harvey, nephew David Lawrence Thomas, niece Marty Harvey Hoaglin, nephew David Harvey, and lifelong family friends Howard and Marjorie Myerly.
Private burial services will be held by Dunnichay Funeral Home at a later date.
