Darryl Carter passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Funeral services for Mr. Carter will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment following at Forrest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at 12 noon on Wednesday prior to the service.

Darryl was born on September 26, 1954 to the late Eugene Carter and Barbara Glee Tidwell Carter in Guin, Alabama. During his lifetime he worked as a carpenter, and was a member of the McIvor Baptist Church. He loved wood working and enjoyed watching wrestling in his down time.

The loving family he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Priscilla Wright Jones Carter of Sardis, MS; three daughters, Heather Latta (Tony) of Oneonta, AL, Wendy Saye (Joe Bob) of Bluntsville, AL, and Cindy J. Roper (Brian) of Batesville, MS; his only son, Doug Jones (Kimberly); one sister, Erika Lee Goodman of Rogersville, AL; two brothers, Steve Carter of Killen, AL, and Hollis Bryan Carter, Jr. of Lakco, TX; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by on great grandchild.
