REV. WALDO J. JACKSON ~ (1905~1992)

He was a graduate of Wake Forest College and the Southern Baptist Seminary. He served pastorates in War and Scarbro after which he was employed by the West Virginia Baptist Convention for 27 years. He served and was a member if the First Baptist Church, Beckley, was a minister of senior citizens following his retirement, was a volunteer Chaplain in a local hospital and was also a World Vision Countertop Patron.

Survivors include his wife, Shelley Bennett Jackson; two sons, Charles Edward Jackson and Robert Waldo Jackson; a daughter, Mary Ellen Kangas; two sisters, Marjorie Jackson and Susan Kitchens; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 1992, at First Baptist Church, Beckley with Dr. David Carrico, The Rev. Donald Lowe, and Dr. Douglas Hill officiating, Entombment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Serenity, Prosperity, WV.
