Louis J. August, 79, born Nov. 17, 1925, passed away Dec. 12, 2004. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Idamae; parents, Louie and Elizabeth August; and sister, Betty Hemphill. Survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda August-Ones and Kurt Ones, and Lori and Wayne Pechek; grandchildren, Chad and Cole Ones, and Ty, Taneisha and Tony Pechek. Also survived by loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Bob Christenson and Violet and Fred Melton; in-laws, Helen Lutes, Bill and Barbara Krasovec, Elsie Jacobs, and Katherine and Leo Beller; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, May Rose Chubrillo, Carl and Rose Amato and Don and Louisa Warren and numerous other friends. Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from the C&W Railroad after 43 years of service and was a member of Pueblo Aerie No. 145 FOE. At his request, cremation with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, at George McCarthy Historic Chapel. Private family inurnment, Roselawn Cemetery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may by made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice in his memory. The family will receive friends at 306 La Vista Road.
