Olga Hughes, 91, passed away after a long and fulfilling life on June 9, 2019. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Robert W. and Minnie Ellen (Hill) Loyd on November 18, 1927.
Olga was a 50-year resident of Irving, and prior to that she lived in Grand Prairie. She was a loving and nurturing woman, as it showed through her work as an LVN. Olga worked as head nurse at the Irving nursing homes and at the Methodist Medical Center in Dallas for 35 years, before her retirement in 1993. During her free time Olga enjoyed fishing and gambling.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward Hughes. Survived by her sons, David, Lynn, Paul and Edward Hughes Jr.; daughter, Elaine Hamilton; 20 grand children; 10 great grand children; nephews and nieces along with numerous extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held June 18, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, Texas...BRFH
