He loved music and playing the guitar. His most favorite band being Van Halen. Michael was a very skilled artist and loved to draw. He loved his family and was a warm, soft spoken man with a very funny sense of humor. Michael was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was also a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory brothers, James Potts and Ben Potts; nieces, Brittney, Kendra, Marissa, and Kara; nephews, Derrick and Ryan; special friends, Bobby Ayers, Marty Fitzwater, James "Elmo" Ralphe, and Bryan Lethcoe; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Freda F. Cook; father, James W. Potts, Jr.; paternal grandparents, James W. Potts, Sr. and Odie Potts; maternal grandparents, George R. Cook and Mildred E. Cook. Two days after Michael's passing, his brother Tracy Potts also passed away.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505 with funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
