LuAnn Harding was born January 9, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Kenneth and Doris (Robeck) Harding. LuAnn grew up in Annandale and after high school went on to further her education at Hutchinson Vocational, where she obtained a certificate in child development. On May 2, 1987 she was united in marriage to Clair Nelson at the Maple Lake Baptist Church. They made their home on the northwest shores of French Lake. LuAnn provided childcare in her home for many area children over the years. Her love, care, and guidance had a large impact on all the kids she welcomed into her home. LuAnn adored her 3 children and spent every moment she could with them. In her spare time, LuAnn enjoyed tending to her gardens, fishing, music, caring for her pets, and whipping up her favorite dessert in the kitchen. She wore out a few John Deere lawn mowers over the years, as she loved cutting grass. LuAnn had a servants heart and her memory will be cherished by all those who know and love her.

LuAnn is survived by her husband of 32 years, Clair of Annandale; children, Amanda (Nick) Lohmer of Somerset, WI, Nick (significant other, Ashley) Nelson of St Francis, and Rebekka (fiancé, Kyle) Nelson of Rockford; 1 soon to be grandson with an expected arrival date of July 17, Dominick Nelson; siblings, Mary (Michael) Walberg of Elk River, and Keith (Julia) Harding of Maple Lake; and nieces, nephews, other family members, dear friends, and her former daycare kids. She was preceded in death by her parents, baby sister Judith, and baby brother Robert.

Clair, Amanda, Nick, & Rebekka will serve as urnbearers. Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide music for the service.
