Gloria Theresa Black, 86, of Alton, IL, died at her residence on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:55 am. She was born November 6, 1932, in Alexandria, Egypt to Oscar Ward Hancock & Esperance (Cassar) Hancock.
She was retired after having been a secretary for Con Agra. Gloria was a volunteer at St. Mary's Church in Alton, IL.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Christians of Alton, IL, sisters, Dorene Bailey of Opelika, AL, Sister Mary Louise Hancock of Montreal, Canada and nephew, Curt (Marsha) Bailey of Auburn, AL.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter Hancock and Harold Hancock.
Friends may call on Monday, June 3, 2019 at St. Mary's Church, Alton, IL from 10:30am-11:00am. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Alton, IL. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery, Godfrey, IL.
