Phillip Knox Faulkner, age 66 of Shiloh, GA, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside in Columbus.

Mr. Faulkner was born September 13, 1952 in Manchester, GA, the son of Harper Faulkner, Sr. and Ruby Cartwright Faulkner. He was raised in Shiloh, GA, and was a 1970 graduate of Harris County High School.

After high school he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served four years during the time of the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he returned to Shiloh and began a career with Lockheed in Marietta, Ga., that eventually led him to San Francisco, CA, where he worked 30 years as a machinist for United Airlines and forged many friendships.

He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers Union and enjoyed boating, cars, motorcycles and drag racing. Above all he especially loved being in the company of his family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Edgar Faulkner.

Survivors include his two children, Josh "Adam" Faulkner (Dorota) of Pine Mountain, GA, and Heather Kennedy (Mike) of Manchester; eight grandchildren, Magnolia Blackwood-Faulkner, Cody Faulkner, Harrison Faulkner, Paris Faulkner, Max Faulkner, Gage Waddell, Kinsie Kennedy, Fisher Kennedy, "Little Mike" Kennedy, and Destiny Kennedy; a brother, Harper Faulkner, Jr. of Shiloh; nieces, Mandy and Rebecca; nephew, John; his former wife and mother of his children, Liz Sharp of Manchester; and two special close friends Mark Owens and Monica Mendez both of California.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6th at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Manchester, with Dr. Craig Williamson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
