Kelly Lynn Davis, 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her home in Ralls. She was born on December 13, 1959, in Lubbock, and stayed in the South Plains to later become a 1978 graduate of Post High School. She married her soulmate, David Davis, in April 1982 and became a stepmom to two children. In 1990, she had her own beautiful boy, Dylan Royce Davis, who became her entire world. Though her life was short, she had many titles and was great at them all: cosmetologist, surgical technician, best friend, sister, mother and wife. She loved to cook for her family when she could; she loved writing letters to her loved ones to make them feel special. She loved spending each morning drinking coffee with her husband; and she loved her dog, Levi, and to watch her cats play outside from the kitchen window. To describe Kelly in few words would be difficult, because she encompassed so many great characteristics, but these outshined the rest: her humor that could bring a giggle to anyone, even on their worst day; her compassion that could make anyone feel at home, even if they just met; and her determination that could only match that of a bullfighter, even though her battle was tough. She was survived by: her husband, David Davis; her son, Dylan Davis (Brandi Addison); her stepchildren, Dayan Davis and Dezni Taylor; her grandchildren, Allie, Ariah, Austin and Dayton; her caretaker, Esme Sauceda and many friends and “adopted” children who loved her greatly. The family would like to extend its thanks to Kindred Hospice of Lubbock.
