Funeral service for Tom Sutton will be Monday, June 10th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Kiowa. Burial will follow at Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery. Viewing will be before the service on Monday.

Tom was born January 17, 1963 in Hardtner and passed from this life on June 5, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He had lived in Barber County all his life and graduated from South Barber High School. He was active in FFA during his school years. He was a hard worker and could fix most anything that broke down. He enjoyed doing field work on the farm and working with cattle. He liked being around children. Tom was always very generous and willing to help others. Hunting, fishing and picking wildflowers and making bouquets out of them were things some of his hobbies.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, Edwin Sutton; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Hinze; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Sutton.

He is survived by his parents, George and Joan Sutton; three brothers, John Sutton, James Sutton and wife, Mary and William Sutton and wife, Vicki; one sister, Emily Sandberg and husband, Joseph; two aunts, Lela Mae McElwain and Helen Engel; one uncle, David Hinze; nieces and nephews, Levi, Shelby Lynn, Logan, Amanda, Alyssa, Andrea, Melissa and Bradley; several great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to the South Barber FFA through the funeral home.
