ACHURRA, Azucena "Susie"
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on March 22, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Loving sister of Alegre Trunio and late husband Leo and Alejandro Achurra and wife Ninfa, both of the Philippines. Dear Tita of Mary Ann Achurra Catindig and husband Daniw (Windsor), and Mariter and Jose Te (Mississauga), Marelen and husband Tony Caberto (California), Jesus and wife Jennifer Achurra (Philippines), Antonio and late wife Asuncion Achurra (Philippines), Chifannie and Joel Milan, Francisco and Theresa Achurra, Marilou and Rizaldy Bicaldo. Great aunt to James and Patricia Te, Daniel and Nivien Catindig, Ryan and Amy Catindig, Mary Ellen Catindig, Therese Marie Te. Great-Great Aunt of Jalen and Maya. Survived by many other nieces and nephews in the U.S. and the Philippines.Reunited with late parents Paquito and Salud and late brothers and sisters; Azalea and Enrique, Amado and surviving wife Henrietta, Antonio and surviving wife Elena, Anisia and Raymundo, Alma and Lorenzo, Arturo and surviving wife Ofelia.Susie retired from Henry Ford Hospital as a medical technologist and she will be remembered by her many friends at Hotel Dieu Hospital where she also worked for many years. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Choir, Filipino Organization of Windsor, and Former President of the Katilingban Sang Ilonggo. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor or to the Windsor-Essex Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday 9:15 a.m. from
