She loved to square dance and was a giving mother and grandmother who loved her church as much as God loved her. Terrie had a heart of gold and the ministries she worked with reached children around the world. May she enjoy the new life with the love of her life that she has joined in heaven.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Marc and Laura Gray Rodgers and Jay and Janet Lynn Rodgers; mother, Dorothy "Dot" Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kavin and Mary Smith and Emory and Anita Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Charles Dodson and Karen and Brad Jenks; grandchildren, Ashley Rodgers, Madison Rodgers, Rayna Rodgers, Chloe Rodgers and Jaden Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Briarcliff Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Bigger officiating. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2970 Clairmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
