Marie A. “Re-Re” Stevens, 85, of Warren, passed away, Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville, Texas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Fellowship Cemetery in Warren. Officiating will be Brother Mike Neel and Brother Edwin Findley. Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Esway, Kolton Perfect, Easton Perfect, Billy Hinton, Bradley Chauvin, and Keith “Peanut” Staudenmier.

Marie was born October 6, 1933 to Fredrick W. & Carmen Monteg Laura Wilcox Gundermann in Galveston, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Warren and was a retired hairdresser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick & Carmen Gundermann; son, Joey Stevens; sister, Virginia Megale; and brother, Freddie Gundermann.

She is survived by her husband, of 43 years, Bill Stevens of Warren; children, Wally Anderson & wife, Charli of Texas City, Dennis Anderson & wife Debby of Dickinson, Tressa Hinton & husband, Billy of Lumberton, Trae Perfect & wife, Donna of Warren and Parris Springer & Johnie “Catfish” Gilpin of Sante Fe, TX; brother, Harold Gundermann of Hitchcock; sister, Edith Lerus of Galveston; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
