Early Sunday morning, 28th inst., Miss Annie M. Chalmers passed away, aged 22 years--after a brief and severe illness of two weeks. She told her friends in the early part of her illness that she could not recover, and selected the scripture lesson and psalms for her burial service. Miss Chalmers was a member of the U. P. church. Her loss will be felt by a large circle of friends.

On Saturday morning death again entered our ranks and carried off Miss Annie Chalmers, the oldest daughter of J. A. Chalmers. She was a young lady of much promise, and will be sadly missed by her many friends. The cause of death--typhoid fever.
