Louis Carrol Cook, 58, of Lebanon, Va., passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019. Born in Richlands, Va., on August 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Carrol D. Cook and Dixie Lynthlin Cook-Hamilton. Retired from the Paramount Coal Company and an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tommy Hamilton and sister, Wanda Louise Cook Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Cook; daughter, Abigail Cook, of the home; sister, Lois Adkins and husband Larry of Meadowview, Va.; mother-in-law, Mary Louise Thompson of Honaker, Va.; 14 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Dr. Anthony T. Desalvo, Lydia Novruzov, and all of the staff at the Cancer Center.

Pallbearers will be Paul Skeens, Danny Bell, Gary McGhee, Michael Hale, Eddie Cook, Dewey Cook, Andrew McGhee, and James Rasnake.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon.

The family will receive friends on Sunday after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
