"In the death of Abraham S. Jones, who passed away yesterday morning at his home on the Southwest side, the community lost one of its best citizens. The deceased was 83 years of age and had lived in this locality for a great many years. Death was due to general debility. The deceased was the father of J A. Jones, late foreman of the Missouri Pacific shops, who was fatally injured some months ago in an accident in the shop yards. He was a devout Christian man and was prepared for the final call when it was made The funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the late residence. Rev. Dr. Porter will conduct the services and the remains will be consigned to a lot in the Evergreen cemetery."
