Billie Louise Haynes, 93, of Johnston City passed away at 11:25 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana with her daughter by side.

Billie was born January 31, 1926 in Johnston City to Amplis and Vera (Strunk) Wells.
She married Grover C. Haynes in 1951. He preceded her in death.

Billie was employed several years at National Transformer in Johnston City and later served as activity director at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. She was a member of All Nations Church of God in Whiteash.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy of Johnston City; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Arnold Garrett; infant son, Terry Lee Chapman; four brothers, Jack, George and Pete Wells and A.C. Garrett.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Rev. Bruce Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
