Son of Frederick A. Griffith of Palmyra and his wife Harriet Hull Gould of Rochester. He graduated from Honeoye Falls class of 1947 and enlisted into the Army in 1949 through 1952. He was stationed in Germany with the 7th army 18th Combat Engineers obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was married in Highland Park, CA to the late Maude Ann Thorson from 1956 until her passing in 1993. He was married to the late Mary Long Murray in 1996 in Palmyra until her death in 2019. He had a wide range of employment , from the railroad, Water and Power Company of Los Angles, U.S. Post Office, Fuller Brush, teaching school in rural Maine and operating room staff. He served as a town selectman for 12 years in Buckfield, ME and as a state tax assessor. He is survived by his son Henry of Keene NH, his daughter Joan of Barstadt Germany and one granddaughter Meghan Ferrari of Asheville NC.
