Guile-Died at his home, 505 East Broadway, April 14th, Charles R. Guile, aged 79 years. he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ardelia Guile; one son, Claude E. Guile; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Engell of Schenectady, Mrs. Hazel Cady of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Jennie Beckwith of this city; one sister, Mrs. John Wilson, of this city; three brothers, Walter A. Guile of Providence, R.I., Willis Guile of Chicago, and Frank B. Guile of Oriskany Falls.
The deceased was a native of this city, having been born in the village of Oswego Falls on July 14, 1851. He was as son of Gilbert Worden and Louisa Chubb Guile, early settlers of this vicinity. When a young man he entered the employ of the American Woolen Company and remained with the company for nearly 50 years, retiring several years ago. Mr. Guile's death followed an illness of only a day, he having suffered a stroke Sunday noon. His son, Dr. Russell Guile of Canton, died last summer.
