Marion “June” Mitchell, 74, of Gruver, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Graveside Services will be on Saturday, March 23, 2019, 11:00a.m. at the Gruver Cemetery with Rev. Scott Curry officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
She was born on January 13, 1945, in Honey Grove, TX. to Earl and Imogene Glover Phillips. June and Melvin Mitchell were married in Gruver, Texas on May 2, 1963. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gruver.
June, loved sewing, painting and gardening. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Marlon and wife Tammy Mitchell and daughter Cheryl Lindsey all of Gruver, two, sisters, Sherry Kramer of Orlando, FL. and Ann Dillman of Mesa, AZ. ; two, brothers, Bobby Phillips of Lampasas, TX. and Donnie Phillips of Big Bear, CA. She is also survived by three, grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
