The third Barbarian Subduing Generalissimo shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate in the early Kamakura period.
Born as the second son of Yoritomo Minamoto, who opened the Kamakura Shogunate, when his elder brother Yoriie was exiled, he became Barbarian Subduing Generalissimo shogun at the age of twelve. In the beginning of politics, Hojo-family, who served as a conspiracy, mainly engaged in, but became more involved as he grew up. His promotion of the official position is also quickly decided to be the first right minister as a samurai, but the following year the assassination in Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine by the Kugyo of the children of his brother Yoriie. As a result, General Genji of the Kamakura Shogunate was cut off.
