Vernon O. Quigley, a retired retail salesman and longtime postal worker, died Sept. 24, 1996, in Gladstone at age 98. A cryptside committal will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Riverview Abbey.
Mr. Quigley was born July 13, 1898, in Pasadena, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army in World War I. He married Helen Richards in 1927; she died in 1995.
Survivors include his daughters, Vernetta Noyes of Silverdale, Wash., and June Morris of Clinton, Wash.; sons, Norman of Sandy and Robert of Portland; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
