He was a retired supervisor from Maples Chair Company where he worked his entire career. “D.C.” enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer W. and Exie P. Gates James; his wife of 59 years, Barbara F. James; and siblings, Jack James, Alva Nell Scott, Helen Fowler, Dorothy Kowack and Larry James.
Survivors include his son, Terry James and wife, Karen of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Tara Ledford and husband, Jason and Amanda Hall and husband, Richard, all of Cleveland; and five great grandchildren, Riley Hall, Kaitlyn Hall, Shelby Hall, Braiden Ledford and Ashlyn Ledford.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ronnie Carden officiating.
