Patricia Ann Gajdostik, age 80, of W679 Foundry Road, New Holstein, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
She was the former Patricia Ann Chapin, born August 16, 1932 in Morrison, IL, daughter of the late Leslie & Gladys (Gaffey) Chapin.
Pat attended school in Savanna, IL and continued her education at Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee, Silver Lake College, Manitowoc and UW Milwaukee.
On February 14, 1953 she married Anthony “Tony” Gajdostik in Savanna, IL.
Pat was an elementary school teacher at Holy Rosary Catholic School, New Holstein from 1971-1981.
She was a member SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Christian Women. She also belonged to the Family Pride Homemakers for many years.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and partaking in artistic endeavors, especially oil and water color painting. Pat also enjoyed reading and authored a book “She, He and We” documenting her family's life and times.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Anthony “Tony” of rural New Holstein, five children: Toni Ann Wozniak, Martin (Sharon) Gajdostik, Jo Ellyn “Chick” (Rodney) Schroeder, Karen Gajdostik, Frank (Gail) Gajdostik. Five grandchildren: Steven (Shelly) Wozniak, Christopher Gajdostik, Michael Gajdostik, Eric Gajdostik and Katie Gajdostik. She is further survived by four great grandchildren: Anna, Anthony, Zack and Zoe Wozniak, two sisters: Leila (Bill) Schneider and Mary Ann Lorenz, other relatives and many friends.
According to Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Pat will be held at a later date.
Burial will take place in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
