Joseph F. Eddy, 64, of Elyria. died Tuesday at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a one-year illness.
Born in Crawford County, Pa., he had been an area resident since 1961. He was employed for 13 years at Ford Motor Co. in BrookPark, and prior to that, at Ferroslag-Division of Spang Co. in Lorain, for 17 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Elyria VFW Post 1079.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Gladys I.; sons, J. Frank Jr., of Elyria, and William D., of North Olmsted; daughters. Mrs. Richard (Lucy) Wiser, of Elyria, Mrs. David (Nancy) Livelsberger, of Grafton, and Mrs. George (Shirley) Watson, of Amherst; five grandchildren; brothers, Allan, of Titusville, Pa., and Kenneth, of Union City, Pa.; and sisters, Mrs. William (Hazel) Kemick, of Erie, Pa., and Mrs.
Keith (Gertrude) Davenport, of Hydetown, Pa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria. Services will be Friday at 11a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Elyria. with Rev. Martin Waidmann of Keating.
Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery Elyria. VFW Post 1079 will hold services at the cemetery.
