Tommy Teague, age 65, passed into Heaven on June 5, 2019 in Pasadena, TX. The last several years Tommy had been suffering from end stage COPD.  He was born August 1, 1953 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.

Tommy was always an avid baseball fan. He played little league baseball and was proficient at hitting home runs. He has always been a huge Astros fan. He was very proud of his Astros World Champion ring that he was given because he was working for the Astros organization in 2017.

Tommy graduated from South Houston High School in 1971. He enjoyed attending SOHO class reunions. He not only attended all of his class reunions but he would also go to some of the other classes because he knew people in the those classes. He enjoyed fellowshipping with them.

Tommy proudly served in the U.S. Navy on active duty from 1971 to 1973 aboard a tanker, the USS Hassayama during the Viet Nam war. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor. His ship was a floating service station that pumped fuel to the other ships while at sea. It was dangerous job because if that tanker was ever hit by a bomb, the whole ship would explode. However unlike other ships that sometimes would be at sea for 6 months at a time, his ship went to port regularly to refuel. Tommy always had fun on his many shore excursions in the South Pacific. He enjoyed the Navy and made many long lasting friendships.

After the Navy, he attended San Jacinto Jr. College and The University of Houston. Later he graduated from School of Radio and Television Broadcasting.

Tommy is survived by his two precious children:  his son, Russell Teague and his daughter, Ashley Monahan and her husband Ethan Monahan. His brother, Jim Teague and wife, Rhonda; his nephew Justin Teague & his wife Desi & his niece, Allison Bagley and her husband Jim Bagley; and numerous relatives and many friends.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann Teague; and his beloved fiancée, Nydia Ruiz.

Tommy was a faithful member of Clear Lake United Methodist Church. At one time he led their singles ministry. In more recent years he also attended Lakewood Church in Houston. He was very active their singles ministry where he had many very close friends.

Tommy retired as an Oilfield Salesman.  Tommy never met a stranger.  He loved people and enjoyed talking to everyone.

Tommy greatly loved and enjoyed his children, friends, his church family and his extended family. Above all, Tommy was an active Christian, a strong believer & loved Jesus.
