Charles Franklin Birdsong 70, of Dekalb, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at a Texarkana Texas hospital. Charles was born February 23, 1949 in DeQueen, Arkansas to CP and Louise Williams Birdsong. He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired Truck Driver for Copeland Oil. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Elmer Davis; his father-in-law James Barnes and his mother-in-law Dorothy Jones Barnes. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Barnes Birdsong whom he married , 31 Oct 1969, one son and daughter-in-law Chad and Maegan Birdsong of Dekalb and one daughter, Kim Birdsong of New Boston, Texas, one grandson, Blake Birdsong and granddaughter Bailey Birdsong both of Dekalb, one nephew, Chuck Davis, two nieces, Tammy’s Davis and Michelle Daniel, numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 pm Monday June 10, 2019 at Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist in Dekalb with Rev. Justin Coburn and Rev James Bunger officiating. Interment will be at Old Union Cemetery in Simms, Texas.
