Mrs. Campbell was retired from the US Army Missle Command where she was the first female Chief Housing Manager on Redstone Arsenal. She was also an avid bowler.
Survivors include her three daughters, Karen (Talmadge) Howell, Cyndi (John) Himes, and Terri (Jimmy) Green; one son, Almon (Rita) Majors, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Pam Majors;five stepchildren, Scott (Maria) Campbell, Darryl (Saundra) Campbell, Douglas (Sina) Campbell, Delinda Campbell, and Deena (Wesley) Schilitzkus; two sisters, Dean (Dave)Smith and Myrtle Kelley; brother, Joe (Mary) Beard; and twenty-three grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Retired First Sergeant Dale Campbell, USMC; son, Gary Majors; grandson, James Gillespie; parents, Ernest and Estelle Beard; three sisters, Fay Dunson, Doris Johnson, and Ima Gene Beard; and brother, J.D. Beard.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by service at 2:00 with Rev. David Swafford and Rev. Larry Hogan. Burial is at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery.
