Herbert B. Thompson, 76, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Monday June 3, 2019. Herbert was born in Washington, DC, on Monday November 16, 1942, son of the late Melville Louis and the late Gladys Mildred Thompson. He served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. Herb married Kathryn Loraine Ceccarelli on February 25, 1967. He worked for USAID as a Computer Specialist until his retirement.
Herbert is survived by his wife Kathryn Loraine Thompson of Fayetteville, PA, three children, Brian Keith (husband of Lisa) Thompson of Owings, MD, Tamara Lynn (wife of Jim) Paidas of Brookeville, MD and Robyn Jane Coghlan of Chesapeake Beach, MD, and 5 grandchildren (Will Thompson, Alyssa Hiser, Lexi Paidas, Zoe Paidas and Carleigh Coghlan) and one great granddaughter Lilly Thompson. He is also survived by one brother Melville Louis Thompson Jr. in Oregon.
Herbert is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Harley Eugene Thompson.
Herb enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid competitive marksman and enjoyed the sport with many good friends.
