Johns, Richard “Roland”, age 73, of Vandiver, AL passed away June 5, 2019.
Mr. Johns was a Vietnam Veteran and receive two Purple Hearts during his service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, two sisters, three children, and 2 grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Faye Johns; sons, Cecil Blackerby, Ray Burnette, and Joe Burnette (Miranda); daughters, Debbie Blackerby and Becky Von Elling (Al); 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a niece, great-niece and a great-nephew; and a multitude of extended family.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 07, 2019 starting at 6PM at Vandiver Church of God. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, June 08, 2019 at 11AM with burial at Union Hill Cemetery.
