Angela Laverne Gray of Sears Street, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 4, at her residence

She was born August 31, 1959 in Cabarrus County to the late Joyce Ann Gray and the late Hubert Hamilton.

Angela was educated in the Kannapolis Schools and a 1978 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She attended Mitchell Community College and was formerly employed by Fieldcrest Cannon. Angela attended Bethpage United Presbyterian Church and was a member of K.P. Sisters and Brothers by Loyalty.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 8, at Bethpage United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services at 1:00. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her former companion, Sam Rucker.

Those left to cherish fond memories include five brothers, Gregory Gray (fiancé Audrey Parks), Rev. Donald- Gray (Sharon), Larry Hamilton, Darrell Hamilton, Gary Hamilton; two sisters, Rev. Renita Garland (Marlon), Laticia Hamilton; two step-daughters, Michele Rucker Tate, Dione Rucker; aunt, JoAnn Gray, special cousin, Anita Rice (Jerry); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is meeting at the home of Anita Rice, 128 James Street, Kannapolis, NC.
