Nona Pearl Collins Thompson - Metter - Nona Pearl Collins Thompson, 47 and her husband Wayne Thompson died Saturday evening after an accident. The native of Wheeler County was a member of The Rock Worship Center. She was an Evangelist having served with her husband in several areas in Africa, and served as the co-pastor with her husband at Resurrected Hope Tabernacle. She collected dolls, loved going to the Smokey Mountains spending time with her children and grandchildren she also loved their Chihuahua (Jasper). Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Jennifer) Thornton, Matthew (Monica) Thornton, both of Glenwood, Collis Thornton, Jacob Dewayne Thompson both of Metter; daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn (Dwayne) Carpenter of Soperton; her father, James Edward Collins of Glenwood; brothers, Danny Collins of Baxley and James Thigpen of Ellabell; sisters, Sandra Taylor of Villa Rica, Jane Palmer of Glenwood, Joyce Ussery of Tifton, Joann Ostrom of Olympia Washington, and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Monday at Morgan Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m., at the Rock Worship Center in Stillmore with burial in the Lake Cemetery.
