Ruby Jean West was born October 14, 1934 in Vina, Alabama. She moved from Alabama to Texas in the 1950's. She lived in Lindale and was a homemaker.

Ruby passed away at 84 on June 4, 2019 in Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmus Galveston Emerson and Liddie Agnue Cockrell Emerson; three brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James West of Lindale; two sons and daughters-in-law, David & Lea Miller of Big Sandy, and Andy & Kim West of Lindale; two daughters and son-in-law, Gail & Danny Johnson of Lindale, and Michelle West of Lindale; grandchildren, Drew West, Mykel West, Palmer Johnson, Brittany Hoffman and Grace Bruwer; great-grandchildren, Tyler West and Brody West; and sister-in-law, Earlene Emerson.

The family will have a private memorial service.

Special thanks to Lindale Healthcare Nursing Center & Staff, and Hospice of East Texas for the love and compassionate care for our mother.
